The information on FirstAidFreeCourse.com, including courses, videos, animations, quizzes and downloadable materials, is provided for general educational purposes. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical care, diagnosis or treatment. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number (for example 911, 112, 999 or 000) and follow the dispatcher's instructions.

2. About our certificate of completion

When you pass a course's final assessment we issue a free certificate of completion. This certificate:

• confirms that you completed an online, knowledge-based course and passed its assessment;
• is not an accredited, licensed, regulatory or legal certification;
• does not include an assessment of practical (hands-on) skills;
• should not be used in job applications or to meet workplace, OSHA, HSE, childcare-licensing, school, sports-coaching or other legal or regulatory requirements;
• is valid for two years from the completion date, after which we recommend refreshing your knowledge.

Employers, regulators and other organizations decide which training they accept. If you need a certification for work or licensing, ask the relevant organization which accredited provider it recognizes.

3. Hands-on training

Skills such as CPR, AED use, choking relief and tourniquet application are best learned through practice on manikins and training devices under a qualified instructor. We strongly recommend completing in-person practical training in addition to our online courses.

4. Guidelines and local protocols

Our content is written to align with published guidance from international and national bodies (such as ILCOR, the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross and the European Resuscitation Council). Recommendations evolve and vary by country and organization. Always follow the protocols of your local emergency services, your employer and any training you have received. We are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by these organizations.

5. Third-party videos

Some lessons embed videos published on YouTube by third parties, such as national first aid and health organizations. These remain the property of their owners, who are credited in each lesson. They may have been produced for another country, so emergency numbers and some details may differ. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content.

6. Medicines and devices

References to medicines or devices (such as aspirin, epinephrine auto-injectors, inhalers or naloxone) are general information only. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, the person's own care plan, local law and advice from emergency dispatchers or healthcare professionals.
